Hey! I’m Yvee

Recent work
My most recent UX role was in a tiny team of two within a large UK local government. I worked on features and navigation for both internal and external digital products, all while navigating an era-defining company merger.
Accessibility was always a core focus. Now it’s something I’m deeply committed to—making sure that everything I design is accessible for every human. Accessibility isn’t an afterthought—it’s a fundamental part of great design that benefits everyone - including businesses.
Before UX
Before discovering the world of UX design, I built an eclectic mix of career experiences. Every role and every person I’ve worked with has taught me something valuable, but the two that influence my UX approach the most are my time in a fast-paced scale-up and my experience teaching. In both, I had to think on my feet and solve problems creatively—often without even realising I was honing a UX mindset. My work history has also made me confident that I can adapt to just about any situation.

When I'm not designing
I'll usually be:
- Cooking something vegan, most likely adding miso to every single dish, sweet and savoury
- Running, it's where my mind clears and the ideas make their way in
- Reading - a morning non-negotiable with a cup of tea and a book (currently reading: The Bee Sting by Paul Murray)
- In a yoga class where I love a good Warrior Three
- Travelling - especially if there’s hiking or street food involved
